SSS by the Winter Stricken People

SSS always stands by the general people. On 15 January 2023, the organization started distribution financial assistance of Tk. 1,000 per head among the foggy weather stricken group members of the north-western region of our country under seven zones—Mymensingh, Ranpur, Faridpur, Jashore, Natore, Bogura and Jamalpur Zone Offices, inaugurated by Mr. Fashiullah, Executive Vice Chairman (EVC), MRA and presided over by Mr. Murshed Alam Sarker, Chairperson, SSS through video conference at 11 am. Acting Executive Director and Director (HR and Admin) Mahbubul Haque Bhuiyan and Director (Credit) Santosh Chandra Paul were connected to the conference as well.

 

In the winter, a portion of our population, especially the destitute and underprivileged people suffer from cold weather, and they lead their lives with dire situation. SSS, as a people-centric organization, has chalked out a budget of Tk. 6.50 crore to distribute among the group-members and some selected staff members from the underprivileged families of the north-western belt of Bangladesh as winter grant-in-aid. This distribution activity covered 22 districts— Rangpur, Dinajpur, Kurigram, Bogura, Naogaon, Gaibandha, Sirajganj, Pabna, Rajshahi, Natore, Sherpur, Jamalpur, Mymensingh, Chuadanga, Jhenaidah, Magura, Jashore, Satkhira, Faridpur, Madaripur, Shariatpur and Rajbari to 49,737 beneficiaries through 55 branch offices of the organization, which will run to 17 January 2023 as well.

Mentioned, a portion of the aforesaid budget was handed over to the district administrators and local governments to distribute among the destitute general people as relief in the working area of SSS.
