A team of three members headed by Mahmuduzzaman Kanchon, Deputy Manager (ECCCP-Flood Project), from PKSF visited the Extended Community Climate Change Project (ECCCP-Flood Project) in Melandaha and Islampur Upazila of Jamalpur district on 9 February 2022. The other team members are Md. Wahidul Haque and Md. Iftekhar Kausar (Program Officer).\u00a0 Team expressed gratification over see the progress of the ongoing project. It was a follow-up visit. At that time a team of SSS was present there.<\/p>\n

With financial support from PKSF, SSS started implementing Extended Community Climate Change Project (ECCCP-Flood) in Melandaha and Islampur Upazila of Jamalpur district. With a view to lift up homestead of destitute (both poor and ultra-poor people) people in flood-affected area, SSS started the activities on November of 2020. The activities are: Lifting up homestead; Installing latrines and tube-wells; Making goat and lamb sheds with platform; Extending the cultivation of high-yielding crops; and amending houses and providing credits for goat rearing as support to the flood-affected destitute and vulnerable people.<\/p>\n
