{"id":5997,"date":"2022-10-11T07:50:46","date_gmt":"2022-10-11T07:50:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sss-bangladesh.org\/?p=5997"},"modified":"2022-10-11T07:52:16","modified_gmt":"2022-10-11T07:52:16","slug":"international-day-of-older-persons-observance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sss-bangladesh.org\/?p=5997","title":{"rendered":"International Day of Older Persons Observance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SSS observed the International Day of Older People with the theme\u2014Resilience of Older Persons in a Changing World under the Uplifting the Quality of the Lives of Elderly People Program supported by PKSF at Dyenna and Hugra Unions of Tangail Sadar on 1<sup>st<\/sup> October, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Centering the day, two colorful rallies were brought out from the Social Centers for the Elderly People (One rally from Dyenna and another from Hugra Union) and organized discussion meetings led by SSS. Officials and workers and beneficiaries of the Uplifting the Quality of the Lives of Elderly People Program, SSS participated in the meetings wherein Mr. Md. Afzal Hussain, Chairman of Dyenna Union Council and Al-haj Muhammad Nur-e-Alam Tuhin, Chairman of\u00a0 Hugra Union Council took the chair as the Chief Guest separately.<\/p>\n<p>In the last part of the event, 10 elderly people (five at Dyenna and five at Hugra) were awarded as the best elderly person and 10 people (five at Dyenna and five at Hugra) got the best child award.
