Great Victory Day Celebration 2025: SSS Pays Solemn Tribute to Spirits of Liberation

The 54^th Great Victory Day was observed with profound respect, patriotism and festive enthusiasm on 16 December 2025, under the initiative of Society for Social Service (SSS).

The program set on the day commenced early in the morning at 7:45 a.m., some of staff members of SSS assembled at the Foundation Office, Tangail where they ceremoniously hoisted national flag, symbolizing deep respect for the sovereignty and independence of Bangladesh. At 8:00 a.m., SSS employees participated in a patriotic rally, carrying banners and marching through various roads of the town, and the rally concluded at the Martyrs Memorial in Tangail Poura Udyan, where they laid on wreaths in homage to the heroic martyrs of the Liberation War.

Representatives of different government, private and cultural organizations were also present at the Poura Udyan to pay their respects on this historic occasion.

­­­In observance of the Victory Day, SSS-run institutes–SSS-Poura Ideal High School, Sonar Bangla Children Home and SSS Private Polytechnic Institute–organized a series of programs: discussion meetings, sports competitions, cultural programs and prize distribution, and nutritious and quality meals served to the children of the home from the morning. Simultaneous, all other offices and branch offices of SSS across the country, celebrated the day with due respect and formality as well.

Through the activities, SSS remembered the immeasurable sacrifices of the valiant freedom fighters of the Bangladesh Liberation War with gratitude, and offered special prayers for their departed souls.
